A little while ago I posted about a change in direction.
I'm now standing in the nakedness of having made a Big Decision™ and I've noticed something pretty important (and not just that I'm a bit tubby).
Most people don't look at your stretch marks and knobbly knees.
When you share your vulnerabilities people rally around to support you, and not just those you would expect to.
Since I've let my guard down, I've forged new and closer relationships; truer relationships.
The glorious risk has certainly been glorious.

So true Rachel. It is only when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable that we allow people to love us:)
Thanks Julie-Ann. I'm starting to learn my fear was unfounded.
Teetering on the edge of my own giant leap, I appreciated your poetic account. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Hannah, thanks for your comment. I'd like to know about your own leap, if you'd like to share?
(and btw a look at your blog now has me craving butter. In a very big way!)
Yes, homemade butter is better
I am happy to share more as my ideas unfold.

This is absolutely true. We may experience some bad but i'm sure it will be worth it. and you will discover a lot of good things too. I love the picture of that tree.
What a fantastic post! I have noticed that too. When you make yourself a little more vulnerable you definitely allow yourself to become more open to people and you are able to make friends you never knew you had. You are able to let people in and they come in a lot of the time. I'm glad you have some people rallying around you. It is such a great feeling.
I found your blog through the 20sb 'WeLoveComments' Group!
always comforting to know i am not alone when it comes to heading down a totally new path.
